A line of very fast moving thunderstorms may race across the area Wednesday evening ahead of a cold front. These storms will have the potential to be strong to severe with strong, damaging winds the main threat. An isolated tornado or two could also occur, although this looks to be a lower probability outcome than the strong winds. Even though December severe weather events are unusual, don't be caught off guard. If a warning is issued for your location, do not wait to seek shelter as the storms will be moving very fast, possibly at speeds of 60 to 70 mph.
