Snow and ice will lead to travel impacts this weekend as a winter storm moves through the area. Freezing drizzle will begin Saturday morning and lead to some very slick roads mainly along and west of the Mississippi River. Then expect a switch to snow by late afternoon or early evening, with the heaviest snow falling Saturday evening/night. Snow totals of 4 to 7 inches are possible in parts of northeast Iowa and far southwest Wisconsin, with lesser amounts farther north. Keep an eye on the forecast and consider altering any weekend travel plans.
