Nebraska Man Breaks Pumpkin Floating World Record

Nebraska man Duane Hansen has broken a world record by paddling 38 miles down the the Missouri River in a carved out giant pumpkin he grew!

The giant pumpkin does have a name… “Berta”. Hansen is known for growing 200 to 400 pound pumpkins, so Berta is pretty special at 861 pounds. “Berta” was cut from the vine, while growing at 15 pounds per day, with a circumference of 146 inches.
