The Pointer Sisters — Anita Pointer, one of the group’s 4 sibling singers, died of cancer Saturday, December 31 at 74. The Pointer Sisters are best-known for their 80s  pop hits ‘I’m So Excited’, ‘Slow Hand’, ‘Neutron Dance’ and ‘Jump (For My Love)’.  Anita was also no stranger to the country charts.  She and Earl Thomas Conley has a big hit with their duet “Too Many Times” in 1986.  The song peaked at #2 on the country charts in November of that year.
